Free Peer Tuition

Free tuition for those who need it most

What is Peer Tuition?

Peer Tuition is very simply the concept of children helping each other learn. We are only kids trying to help others catch up on their missed or otherwise difficult schoolwork, rather than qualified teachers, and we embrace that.

How would lessons work?

Lessons would happen online over Zoom preferably. However, if this is impossible for whatever reason, get in contact with us and we will be able to use Microsoft Teams/Skype instead.

For more information, contact us directly using the form on the contact page.

Why are we doing this?

We have been lucky enough to have a school experience in lockdown comparable to regular school. However, we also realise that many have not, and so we would like to take this opportunity to give back to the community and help those children less fortunate than us to be at less of a disadvantage with their schoolwork.

What do we help with?

Broadly speaking, we can help with anything, although we feel that the core subjects (English, Maths and Science) are more of a priority. We can help create a specialised plan for each child based on what they'd like to get out of it.

English

English lessons would consist mainly of reading comprehension and creative writing, marked according to the National Curriculum Guidelines. Should parents have a specific request for help with spelling/punctuation/grammar, please ask us immediately so we can plan ahead!

Math

Math lessons would be comprised of content that your child would ordinarily have learned in the Summer Term of their year according to the National Curriculum Guidelines. Parents should request which areas from this term's work they would like us to focus on, or whether they want us to work through the whole lot!
